The NBA Power Rankings are clearly owned by the Dallas Mavericks, who continue their winning ways and have the NBA's best record.
Weekly NBA Power Rankings
- Dallas Mavericks (46-9) – Dallas has won 11 straight games and has a solid grip on the top spot in our NBA Power Rankings.
- Phoenix Suns (42-13) -- Phoenix survived the loss of Steve Nash for a few games and has another modest winning streak.
- Utah Jazz (37-18) -- The Jazz are 8-2 in their last 10 games and have Carlos Boozer back in the lineup, making them a strong number 3 in the NBA rankings.
- San Antonio Spurs (38-18) -- The Spurs appear to be jelling at the right time.
- Detroit Pistons (35-19) – Chris Webber is a difference maker, and Detroit looks dominant again.
- Houston Rockets (34-20) -- The Rockets continue to survive without Yao Ming and remain in the top 5 in our NBA Power Rankings.
- Cleveland Cavaliers (32-23) – An injury to Zydrunas Ilgauskas has shown what a splendid player Anderson Varejao is. Great news for Cavs fans.
- Washington Wizards (31-22) -- The Wizards made a charge to the playoffs last year and seemed primed to do it again.
- Chicago Bulls (32-25) -- The Bulls have been a good second-half team in the past two years, and this season should be no different.
- Toronto Raptors (31-25) -- Newly acquired Juan Dixon adds backcourt depth to a young and improving Raptors team.
