Philadelphia's top three-point shooter is now a member of the Jazz as the disgruntled Giricek makes his way to the City of Brotherly Love

After four seasons with the Philadelphia 76ers, guard Korver will be suiting up for the Utah Jazz after a trade yesterday that will see Utah guard Giricek move east in a deal that was likely prompted by a falling out Giricek had with the Jazz. During a recent game against the Charlotte Bobcats Giricek reportedly had a heated exchange with Jazz coach Jerry Sloan during a timeout. He was subsequently sent to the locker room and dismissed from the team for three games.

Giricek was averaging 4.3 ppg this season with Utah and sports a career average of 9.8 ppg over six seasons. He has also played for the Memphis Grizzlies and Orlando Magic and was originally selected with the 40th pick of the 1999 draft by the Dallas Mavericks after playing in the Croatian League.

Korver was averaging 10 ppg with the Sixers and has a career average of 10.5 ppg and a three-point shooting percentage of over 40 percent. The three-point threat hit a franchise-record 226 three-pointers during the 2004-05 season and ranks second on the team for career three-point field goals made with 661. Korver was originally drafted by the New Jersey Nets with the 51st pick of the 2003 draft out of Creighton University.

The Sixers will also receive a future first-round draft selection from the Jazz as part of the trade.

Korver and Giricek will face each other in their new uniforms this Wednesday as the Sixers visit Utah to play the Jazz.
